Happiness is Here and Now

The power of music is a nourishment that I would never want to live with out.  I’m spending Christmas and New Years at Plum Village in France, and here we sing a lot of songs, all the time! The second (or so) Plum Village song I learned was in London from my friend Joe, and hopefully soon will have a recording of Joe, Felipe and I singing it together up online.  But in the mean time, I just wanted to share the words with you, hope they get stuck in your head, and work like medicine, the same way it did with me 🙂

Amazing Friends and Amazing Music

The night of song and poetry ended with this terrific triplet, only having practiced once before I think they said, pulled off an amazing 2 songs that had everyone smiling, singing along, and dancing on their meditation cushions 🙂 ONE DAY we’ll all be singing songs that heal the world like these are!

Thoughts from the Garden

If everyday we wake up with a story about who we are, identifying ourselves with actions we have done in the past, we are setting terms and conditions on ourselves. And often unconsciously, if we don’t live up to those labels throughout the day, we don’t feel like ourselves, or feel less than ourselves, incomplete or maybe as though we’ve failed in some way.
